Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 26, 2025

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sonic Nomad’s website, software, virtual instruments, audio content, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, including downloading or installing any Sonic Nomad plugin, app, or sample library, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

In these Terms:

  • “Sonic Nomad”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the owner and operator of the Sonic Nomad brand and website (https://sonic-nomad.com).

  • “You” or “User” refers to any individual or entity accessing or using the Service.

1. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), or using the Service under the supervision of a parent/guardian.

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Accounts & Registration

To access certain features (downloads, licenses, updates, support), you may need to create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Products & License Grants

Sonic Nomad offers:

  • Software Products – virtual instruments, plugins (VST, AU, AAX, standalone), mobile apps.

  • Audio Content – sample libraries, loops, one-shots, multisamples, presets, MIDI files, and related content (“Content”).

3.1 Software License (Plugins & Apps)

When you purchase or obtain a Sonic Nomad software product, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install the software on your devices (subject to any stated device/activation limits).

  • Use the software for music production, sound design, and related creative work, including commercial releases (songs, albums, scores, etc.).

You do not own the software itself; you own a license to use it under these Terms.

3.2 Audio Content & Sample Library License

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Sonic Nomad grants you a royalty-free license to use our audio Content and presets as follows:

You may:

  • Use the Content in your own musical compositions and productions (commercial or non-commercial).

  • Release, distribute, and monetize music that incorporates the Content (e.g., streaming, sync, performances, beat sales, etc.).

  • Modify, process, and combine the Content with other sounds in your projects.

You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the raw Content as-is or in isolated form (e.g., as individual samples, construction kits, sample packs, stem libraries, preset banks, or competing products).

  • Use the Content to create a competing sample library, virtual instrument, or preset pack where Sonic Nomad Content is the primary source.

  • Upload the raw Content to any platform in a way that allows others to download or extract it as standalone samples or presets.

The license is granted to you (one user) and may not be transferred or shared.

3.3 Non-Transferable Licenses

Unless explicitly permitted in writing:

  • Licenses are non-transferable. You may not sell, transfer, or assign your Sonic Nomad license to another person or entity.

3.4 NFR, Demo & Free Licenses

We may offer:

  • NFR (Not for Resale) licenses – provided to reviewers, influencers, collaborators, or partners. These may only be used by the recipient and cannot be resold or transferred.

  • Demo or trial versions – may have feature, time, or watermark limitations.

  • Free products – subject to the same restrictions as paid products, unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to revoke NFR or free licenses at our discretion.

4. Orders, Pricing & Taxes

4.1 Pricing & Changes

All prices are listed on the Sonic Nomad website or authorized distributors and are subject to change without notice.

We may offer promotions, discounts, or bundle pricing from time to time.

4.2 Payments

Payments for Sonic Nomad products are processed through third-party payment processors (such as Stripe, PayPal, Apple, or Google).

By making a purchase, you agree to:

  • Provide valid and accurate payment details.

  • Authorize the appropriate charges to your chosen payment method.

4.3 Taxes

You are responsible for any applicable taxes, VAT, or duties imposed by your jurisdiction, unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.

5. Delivery & Downloads

Sonic Nomad products are typically delivered as digital downloads.

  • After purchase, you will usually receive download links and/or license information by email or via your account.

  • You are responsible for backing up your installers, license keys, and any product files.

We may provide re-downloads or account access as a courtesy, but this is not guaranteed indefinitely.

6. Refunds

Because Sonic Nomad products are digital and become accessible immediately upon purchase, all sales are generally final.

However, we may consider refunds on a case-by-case basis, for example:

  • Duplicate purchases

  • Technical issues that cannot reasonably be resolved

To request a refund, you must contact us within a reasonable time and before reselling, redistributing, or continuing to use the product.

We reserve the right to approve or deny refunds at our sole discretion, subject to applicable law.

7. Updates, Changes & Discontinuation

We may, at our discretion:

  • Release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of products

  • Change features or functionality

  • Discontinue or remove products from sale

We are not obligated to continue supporting or updating a product indefinitely, but will act reasonably with respect to existing customers.

8. User Content

If you submit, upload, or share content with us (e.g., demo tracks, feedback, testimonials, or user-generated content):

  • You retain ownership of your content.

  • You grant Sonic Nomad a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content for marketing, promotional, or product-related purposes (for example, featuring your track on a product page), unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

9. Intellectual Property

All Sonic Nomad products and materials—including but not limited to software code, interfaces, graphics, logos, branding, text, website content, audio content, and documentation—are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You agree not to:

  • Copy, decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of any Sonic Nomad software (except to the extent allowed by law).

  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice.

  • Use any Sonic Nomad trademarks or logos without our prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Services & Links

Our website or products may contain links or integrations to third-party services (such as payment processors, social platforms, or plugin hosts).

We are not responsible for:

  • The content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.

  • Any issues arising from third-party DAWs, operating systems, or hardware.

Use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and policies.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service and/or licenses if:

  • You materially breach these Terms (including piracy or unauthorized redistribution).

  • We are required to do so by law.

  • We suspect fraudulent activity or abuse.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to access or use the Service may cease.

  • You must stop using Sonic Nomad software and Content if your license is revoked for breach.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) will remain in effect.

13. Disclaimers

The Service, including all software, Content, and documentation, is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
